ENNHRI’s General Assembly gathered today in Geneva, following GANHRI’s Bureau meeting in the morning.
NHRIs warmly welcomed the newest member of the network, the High Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation. The Secretariat updates included information about the ongoing strategic planning and evaluation processes and the indicative calendar for 2017. Members discussed various policy issues and elected the new European member of GANHRI’s Working Group on Ageing, the Ombudswoman of Croatia. GANHRI’s chair, currently the German Institute for Human Rights, presented an overview of the recent and upcoming events.
